Weddings and Wonderful Events by Liz Davenport
“Mum, I’m getting married!”
This simple happy sentence from a son or daughter brings excitement and joy…
But is soon followed by the inevitable shock…. “What will I wear?!!!!!”
Finding the perfect outfit for the big day can be a daunting affair. However, Liz has taken great pride (and had a lot of fun) creating a collection to make women look and feel wonderful for wedding days and special events.
A few tips from Liz:
1. Consider the formability of the occasion- is it a beach wedding or a formal black tie occasion? You will feel more comfortable if you are dressed appropriately.
2. What colour are the bridesmaids? It is not essential to match the colour of the bridesmaids but it is best to have a complimentary colour especially for group photographs on the day.
3. What is your personal style? Consider an outfit that you will feel comfortable in and will let your personality shine. Soft and feminie or crisp and tailored you will find the perfect outfit at LD.
4. Wedding photos will be displayed and looked at fondly for many years. Consider an outfit that is timeless and elegant rather than a fashion fad.
5. Most importantly, Liz’s philosophy revolves around the often heard plea “I want something beautiful but I don’t want something I will never wear again.”
Liz’s own experience of dressing many gorgeous women for their sons or daughters weddings has seen the constantly evolving creation of the most highly sought after Event Collection in Australia.
Be inspired by softly printed silks, subtle beading, pretty laces or classic suiting. You can be plain and tailored, soft and feminine, dramatic or casual.
Each garment you select can also coordinate into your on going wardrobe, giving the memory of the occasion even better value
Our In-Store Consultants are specifically trained to address your every requirement and there is always an abundance of colour, fabulous florals, extraordinary prints, divine chiffon and shimmering silks to choose from.
“Congratulations and delight in this joyous occasion! Enjoy every minute of it!”
