Dynamics of Disguise by Liz Davenport
Liz feels that one should have her cake and eat it to; hence she has developed the 3 key areas of the Dynamics of Disguise!
Life’s little privileges
Liz ascertains that one of the greatest privileges in a woman’s life is the bearing of children. However, for every child that is bought into the world a little ‘privilege’ is gained here or there.
Usually that ‘privilege’ ends up hovering around the waist, the tum or the hips!
Often, if we live a privileged life, filled with luncheons, dinners or cocktail parties, we tend to wear them! - "A moment on the lips a lifetime on the hips"
1. The Theory of displacement
§ Squeezing causes displacement, which turns into bulges
§ If the bra is too tight then the bosom will reposition itself under your chin
§ Cinching in the waist will cause overflow to create a spare tyre
§ Girdles from bust to knee are not an option in hot weather
The answer
Liz designs with draping fabrics on the bias that skim not cling. It is very important that the cut of the garment creates a bodyline which skims the body without hugging the privileges.
Stretch fabrics which move and flow rather than restrict and bunch up are flattering and comfortable.
2. Monochromatic Magic- Look one size smaller
Liz has recognised that the art of looking slimmer is to choose an unbroken column in a dark colour to elongate the body making you appear taller and slimmer.
This is not limited to black only. You can follow this theory in any of Liz’s colour spectrums.
Liz has also recreated this theory in her designs. Garments have very clever built in design features that nip and tuck – scalpel free!
3. Hi Tech Fabrics
Liz has researched different fabrics which stretch and drape as well as having light absorbing qualities which shave inches off those privileged areas!
Prints are chosen which draw the eye to the yummy bits and away from the trouble spots!
Liz will have you looking 1 to 2 sizes smaller in a flash!
